I definitely wrote it with all the coding geeks in mind. ;)

Michelle: Jeri beat you to it the last time I posted some of these up. ;)

Janiece: Yep. ;)

I do a lot of muttering to myself, ranting at the computer, and pacing up and down the halls. It's why stuffing me into a cubicle in a centralized lobby would be bad bad bad... But the ending is nice, when it all comes together and I think I'm awesome for a few minutes. :DMWThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09446603415730525882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18303855.post-56400613246371961442009-06-13T16:17:47.146-04:002009-06-13T16:17:47.146-04:00I'm sure some meteorological geek would have s...I'm sure some meteorological geek would have something to say, but I found your solution to be quite lovely -- and as usual, just a bit (!!) more complicated than the person asking the question thought it would be.

Ex-cellent.

Dr. PhilDr. Phil (Physics)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11943336276878704753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18303855.post-90330692297939857772009-06-13T11:08:45.557-04:002009-06-13T11:08:45.557-04:00Apropos of nothing, has anyone mention that those ...Apropos of nothing, has anyone mention that those pictures look kinda like mammograms?Random Michelle Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13817444379694818074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18303855.post-42656860421273582942009-06-13T09:41:56.587-04:002009-06-13T09:41:56.587-04:00First, let me say that the geek in me absolutely l...First, let me say that the geek in me absolutely loved this post. Actual science combined with actual programming - what more can a person want? :-)

Second, I think you're doing very well. While I have a computer science background, almost everything I do - from computer repair to programming to web design - is self-taught. The computer world changes rapidly, and while some things you learn are always applicable (how to design an algorithm, how to troubleshoot a problem be it hardware or software) the tools, the hardware and the software - especially the programming languages, are constantly changing. If you're an independent computer geek, you're constantly learning on your own.

Even for something like PHP, I'm continuously having to learn new things as it evolves in to a true object-oriented language.

Great post.vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16955307244053931069noreply@blogger.com
