Flowers in November
In the quad of the place where I work, there's a bush that seems to think it's spring, not late fall. Therefore, I took pictures, just so Michelle can see them. ;)

Now I don't think it's a laurel. Leaves are very green, and the flower makes me think of the rhododendron family, which was my initial thought, except for the serrated leaves.
I need to find a good on-line botany search engine for when I'm completely stumped. :)
Because I'm too lazy to pick up my half ton books that are all the way across the room. ;)
It's a camellia - they are winter bloomers.
I have one too, mine is blush pink, but blooms a little later in January.

Pretty! Thanks for sharing. I can identify boreal wildflowers, but that's about it...
Blue skies? I don't remember the last time I saw blue skies. Around my little corner of the world, Mother Nature appears to have lost her painters pallet, or she is going through a greyscale mode.
The flowers are pretty too, adding to the brightness of the photos.
